Goodbye Old, Hello New: WorkInTexas.com Gets A Makeover!

WorkInTexas.com officially launched in June 2004, and since then many things about the site have changed.  New features and functions have been added, existing ones have been updated, and we even removed a thing or two.  But starting today it’s a whole new ballgame.  The new and improved WorkInTexas.com now sports a fresh overall look and feel, some enhanced features, a single logon for all users, website statistics, a scrolling News bar, and even a few snazzy new pictures.

However, we do want to assure everyone that functionally nothing has really changed.  The way you used WorkInTexas.com yesterday is the same way you’ll use it today or tomorrow.  Searching for a job, posting a job, creating a resume or helping a customer, it’s all the same, and hopefully even a little bit easier.

In addition to the new features listed above, we’ve also added collapsible and expandable filter options, allowed auto-formatting for number boxes like phone and fax, added a calendar feature for date fields, and changed from top navigation tabs to drop down menus for getting around the site.  Additionally, job seekers will notice their Home and Portfolio pages have been reorganized with job matching buttons and criteria toward the top and left of the page, making it easy to locate these functions.

We’re by no means done; we still have things we want and need to do to keep WorkInTexas.com relevant and easy to use, and this is a good time to refocus.  We hope you like what you see.  As always, we are interested in your feedback.  The new site also includes a “Tell Us What You Think” link in the footer of the home page.  Simply click the link and take the brief survey, or comment on this post.  Either way, we’d love to hear from you.
